Redbud Trail Rendezvous

Redbud Trail Rendezvous brings Frontier Fun at the Fulton County Historical Society grounds four miles north of Rochester on US 31 and Tippecanoe River. The event is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Music, dance, trading, foods cooked over wood fires, traditional crafts, contests – all show the frontier days of Indiana. Several re-enacting groups will portray their particular part of history, such as French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, Western Fur Trade, American Indians, etc. Hoosier Ladies Aside will demonstrate riding side saddle. Scots Greys, a Seven Years War (SYW) re-enacting group, will have training drills and demonstrations both days and sometimes bring horses. The museum will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the event. The museum is normally open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 574-223-4436 for more information. Since 1990, the Redbud Trail Rendezvous has been a gathering of fur traders and re-enactors in teepees, historic camps & tents. Blanket trading, foods cooked over wood fires, muzzle loading shooting, hawk throws, music & dance, frontier crafts. Named for redbud trees by Tippecanoe River, this festival is always held the last weekend of April. Free Parking. Admission $3 adults, $1 children 6-11 & students on bus, children 5 & under free.
